Next, they recommend education and/or treatment plan. The SAP monitors their progress through the plan and then conducts a follow-up evaluation. If they feel the employee has successfully followed the treatment plan the employee is approved for a return-to-duty test. If the employee doesn’t participate as guided, the SAP will send a report of non-compliance and they’ll have to start the DOT SAP program all over again.
