How We Work

SRS simplifies the process in assisting your client companies in locating SAPs and SAEs throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam and Canada. SRS provides a referral letter to share with your client companies that reiterates the employer’s responsibilities per DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 Subpart O or the NRC Regulation 10 CFR Part 26 and restates that they can use a service agent/third party to provide services. This letter will prompt the client company to contact SRS when they have an employee or applicant who violates a DOT, NRC or company workplace drug or alcohol regulation thus providing added value service to your clients at no expense.

When a client company’s representative contacts SRS, SRS shares information on the substance abuse program, reviews the process involved in referring an employee or applicant and provides a violation letter with instructions for its use.
