FTA Employees Get SAP Programs in Pennsylvania with SRS

The FTA (Federal Transit Administration) is a governmental organization that guides all local transit authorities in maintaining policies and procedures, safety protocols, and grant requests. The FTA’s role is to assist local public buses, trains, trolleys, and ferries, plus all commuter rail, light rail, and subway systems. Those who work for the FTA are considered a DOT mandated employee. All DOT mandated employees must undergo drug and/or alcohol testing to ensure they are not using while performing safety-sensitive duties. These tests may be random, due to reasonable suspicion or upon pre-employment.

If you work for a FTA mandated employer and have a positive result for drugs and/or alcohol you are required to stop your safety-sensitive duties and meet with a qualified SAP in order to go back to work.

Living in Pennsylvania and recently failed a DOT drug or alcohol test? You will need to find SAP providers in Pennsylvania in order to get back to your safety-sensitive duties.

What to Expect During a SAP Program

During an initial meeting with your SAP they will evaluate you and determine appropriate treatment and/or education. Employees must comply with treatment and/or education and a negative drug and/or alcohol test must be returned before a SAP can recommend that the employee is fit to return to work.
