How We Work

Credentialing

SRS’ Provider Relations department is responsible for analyzing, screening and selecting providers who specialize in performing substance abuse assessments and/or behavioral evaluations and who hold at least one of the following credentials:

Licensed Physician (MD or DO); Licensed or qualified Psychologist; Licensed or qualified Social Worker; Licensed or Certified Employee Assistance Professional; Licensed or qualified Marriage and Family Therapist; Drug and Alcohol Counselor internationally qualified by NAADAC, IC&RC or NBCC.

All providers qualified to perform either DOT or NRC evaluations have undergone formalized regulatory training and testing.

Each SRS provider’s state, DOT/NRC training and testing certificates, including requalification, are physically retained electronically. All active providers are re-credentialed on an annual basis and prior to receiving all referrals, guaranteeing assurance of current qualifications.

  • Specific treatment or education recommendations
  • Assistance in connecting to the recommended treatment or education

  • Follow-up face to face substance abuse evaluation
  • Two DOT compliant reports
  • Recommendations to submit to a return-to-duty test
  • Recommendations for follow-up testing
  • Recommendations for Aftercare (if applicable)
