HOW CAN I BECOME AN SAP OR SAE FOR SRS To qualify as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) provider for SAP Referral Services (SRS), you must meet one of the following licensing requirements:
In order to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated evaluations you must be knowledgeable about and have clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of alcohol and controlled substances related disorders. By December 31, 2003, you must also retain "DOT Qualification Training & Testing" certificates. In order to perform Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) mandated evaluations you must be knowledgeable about and have clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of alcohol and controlled substances related disorders. By March 31, 2010, you must also retain "NRC Qualification Training & Testing" certificates. In order to perform DWI/DUI related evaluations you must be knowledgeable about and have clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of alcohol and controlled substance related disorders. If you are interested in joining SRS' network, please complete our application form or contact a Recruitment Coordinator at 888-720-7277. Upon receipt of a complete "Network Enrollment" package and verification of all credentials, SRS will begin referring clients in need of SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) or SAE (Substance Abuse Expert) evaluations. |
